Paper Title:A Survey of Antenna Miniaturization Techniques Using Metamaterials

Abstract

The steadfast growth in wireless technology compels antennas to continue to be electrically small but having appreciable performance in terms of bandwidth and efficiency. Designing of such antennas is a challenge. Metamaterials have encouraged many new designs of electrically small antennas. Metamaterials are engineered materials, made of periodic insertions of conventional materials with manageable electromagnetic properties. This paper discusses the elementary concepts and updated analysis of the diverse methodologies used for small antennas designs using metamaterials.
